Seller Conditions

These conditions apply to all sellers listing on Mwezi Marketplace, in compliance with the Companies Act, 2012, and the Income Tax Act.

1. Eligibility

Sellers must be registered business entities or sole proprietors aged 18+ with valid TIN (Tax Identification Number).

2. Listing Standards

Descriptions must be truthful and images accurate. No prohibited items (weapons, perishable goods, illegal substances) per Uganda’s law.

3. Fees & Commissions

A 10% commission on the final sale price applies. Fees are charged monthly and conform to the Tax Procedures Code Act for VAT reporting.

4. Shipping & Fulfilment

Sellers must ship within 3 business days and provide tracking. Failure may result in penalties per our Seller Performance Policy.

5. Data Protection

Sellers must handle customer data in accordance with Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019.

6. Termination

Mwezi may terminate a seller’s account for breach of these conditions or illegal activities, without refund of fees.
