Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of Mwezi Marketplace. By accessing our platform, you agree to abide by the following terms, in compliance with Uganda’s Electronic Transactions Act, 2011 (ETA) and Consumer Protection Regulations, 2019.

1. User Accounts

Users must provide accurate personal information. Mwezi reserves the right to suspend accounts for fraudulent activity under the ETA.

2. Product Listings

Sellers certify that products comply with UNBS standards and do not infringe intellectual property rights. Misrepresentation or sale of counterfeit goods is prohibited and actionable under the Copyright and Neighbouring Rights Act, 2006.

3. Pricing & Payments

All prices are inclusive of VAT (Goods and Services Tax Act, 2014). Payments are securely processed via third-party gateways; Mwezi does not store payment credentials.

4. Delivery & Risk

Risk of loss transfers to the buyer upon delivery. Shipping times and costs are as described on the checkout page.

5. Returns & Refunds

Consumers have a 7-day inspection period post-delivery in line with the Consumer Protection Regulations. To initiate a return, contact support within this period.

6. Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances shall Mwezi be liable for indirect, incidental, or punitive damages. Our maximum liability is limited to the purchase price of the goods.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda. Disputes will be settled under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 2000.
